night, since I heard it bouncing off the skylight in my bathroom. It turned out to be 9/10 of an inch, a lot more than I thought! That was probably better than a couple inches during the day, when it would be evaporating almost as fast as it falls in the heat. It was still in the low 80's at night, though.

Like there's some kind of rain force field that carves out a path between the yellow / red soakers headed our way. They either disappear or split and converge on the other side. Nuts.
