Such great news. What a great player. I will never forget being a kid and staying at the Holiday Inn in Anderson on Friday nights before home games. I would stand outside the area where they ate breakfast and get autographs. Jim Stuckey was one the nicest players. He would take time to chat with me and for a 7-8 year old i thought life could not get any better.

Major milestone! Its a battle and as a survivor I know all too well. Starting in 2010 and over 100 chemo treatments, radiation, and 2 major surgeries, I was just told this past Tues that we could finally move scans to every year instead of every 3mos. I applaud every survivor that can beat this terrible disease.

100 chemo treatments is amazing and you are in my prayers. My wife has been in remission for 17 months and we still are on pins and needles every 6 months with a new PETScan
|

During the UGA game in DV during the time Jim Stucky was playing for DF, I was able to get close enough to see his thigh muscles. One of Stuckys thighs was bigger than my entire body. Dang he was huge. But a great person.

That is great news! I remember the story of Jim being in a liquor store one day when some young lady asked him about some brand of Vodka. Jim pointed to one of the better brands and the lady said it was for her boyfriend's birthday (or some occasion) but couldn't afford it. So Jim walked over to the counter and bought it for her. How many people would do that?

I had a big a$$ crush on Jim Stuckey when I was a kid/teenager. I’m not sure how old I was or how much older he is than me.
