I have not seen an answer unless I missed it. I would love to have him get an extra year with Clemson. CBB has done well in the portal with big guys but we need a scorer who can handle the ball too.

I saw a rumor that stated he probably won’t be getting the year back. Apparently he did play 4 years but his first year was JUCCO.

Not sure when the NCAA is supposed to decide by though.

The only things that makes you wonder is Chad Baker-Mazara from Auburn just went into the portal and had the exact same thing of one year of Juco and 4 years college .if he is able to do it eventually, why can't JZ?

Im not sure how he is eligible either and may not be. He has also played 4 years of Div1 basketball and a year of juco. Both of these players were granted last year as their covid year.

The only difference is Chad Baker-Mazara played just 15 games as a freshman at Duquesne. Maybe they're rying to get a medical redshirt or claim his season was cut short.

Now that the whole covid thing is over. 25 year olds in college need to be over too.

Also, something that isn't talked about is how these 'covid years' took scholarships away from many young men and women for several years now. Nearly 20% less freshmen over last 5 years in bbk
