I'll admit I didn't expect this at all, but the Tigers are currently in 2nd place out of 4 in the regional (the top 2 advance) mid-3rd rotation, leading both #14 Oregon State and NC State. Still a long way to go, but the Tigers are performing way beyond expectations right now, as they seemed clearly projected as the 4th-best team of that group. They actually have a chance to make it through!

That poor vault performance may have just done them in. Meanwhile Oregon State comes roaring back anchored by Olympic champion Jade Carey. Clemson's well behind now. It's gonna take a great bars performance and some help to get back into 2nd now.

I'm afraid it's not to be, but what a fight from the team. After all the injuries and shortcomings of the regular season, making it to the main round (which they didn't last year) and giving it a real fight against superior competition was really impressive.

Their beam performance was inspiring. I was really surprised how poorly they did on vault after having a solid score on floor.
