Since Ian played QB in HS I suspect he can still throw the ball fairly well.

I've never seen a TE throw the ball on a pass play, so it just might be something to catch opponents off guard.

Line him up as a 3-back (H-back), have him back up 3 steps on the snap (or roll right), take a lateral/pitch from Cade and make the toss to a WR downfield on a fly route.


It's the same idea as a RB pass, but something you don't see with a TE.

That play has the potential to freeze the LB, CB AND the safety for a WR to take the top off for 6.... <img border=">">">

Same could be done from the slot position. Maybe even a throwback to Cade? Sounds like fun.

You could run the same play with Ian lined up as a H-back on the left side, then start a jet sweep - take a handoff from Cade and throw the HB pass on his roll-out.

I'm going to guess something like this just might be in the works..... :)

Like to see him on 3 or 4th and very short. 6-8 reach with strong hands will get you a first down...
