I agree with you, but I see the huge benefit that so many don't think about, and that is the culture he will get to enjoy and benefit from. That is so valuable, and I think we offer so much more than so many other programs when it comes to building men.

I hope you are right but if you go back the last 5 or 6 years and look at the OL signees, you can just change the years and they all look alike. The difference in OL is heart, a mean streak, toughness and the 6 inches between the ears and let's hope Coach Luke and put all of that together.

Everything just feels different now vs what we had before. I can’t point to a specific player or moment. However, it feels like we are getting a different type of player and coaching.

I’m excited to see what the next few years will bring.

If we can create a similar culture with our Oline that we have with our Dline that will be a difference maker.

Do you think that the success that he's had everywhere that he's been/coached the O Line would somehow be less at Clemson. Valley coot, I think you come to TigerNet to practice your typing skills bc honestly most of what you type truly don't make very much sense!

I hear you... it seems different. But... I will also say we have had high rated O line prospects for quite awhile.. and a lot of seem to be misses. It does seem we lost quite a few head to head battles with the OSU, UGA, Penn St with the big 5 stars. Which does seem to be heading more our direction, which I love. But I do think Luke will be that final piece of the puzzle to mold the men we have and start landing the type of guys that loved Clemson, but we just missed b/c of other programs saying we can't put O line in the NFL (another thing Luke will be able to shut down).

But... I am going to say this. I have said it before, but I'll say it again.

With the D lines we have had at Clemson in the last 5-10 years, it blows my mind our O line isn't the best after going against them in spring ball, fall camp, and in season (although in season is very limited contact with good on good b/c the O and D are separated for the most part and your goal is to minimize injuries).

I do remember a couple of springs where I think BV held some of our best D lineman out of spring and I wouldn't be surprised if he was told to stand down on stunts and blitzes during spring practice to build the O line confidence.

Just a thought.... if iron shapens iron, I would have expected our O lines to perform much better against D lines that were inferior to ours (which is most b/c we have been D Line U for about 10 years).
