If you’ve never failed at anything, and you’ve hired multiple unqualified or lightly qualified people for positions that you’ve had to fire them from for performance reasons, haven’t you failed at something?

Well, it’s kinda complicated. If I can label it as “experimental” and it fails I don’t have to acknowledge it was a failure.

Most these trolls are still basement dwellers at mommy's house! Most they have hired are either Door Dash or their favorite Mani and Pedi strip mall ladies.

I dont think you failed, unless you continue to let the problem fester.

Mistakes are going to happen. The problem is allowing mistakes to continue without addressing them in the best way possible.

If I hired someone as an "outside the box" hire, I am letting them know right off the bat they are on a short leash and they will need to continue to earn trust until I give them leeway. If they fail over an extended period of time, the longer I let this go, the worse it reflects on my judgement and abilities as a leader.

The longer it continues (and I have seen this happen several times) the more your subordinates will begin to resent you and the failing employee. This creates an extremely toxic work environment as folks will feel the failing employee is getting special treatment or is not pulling their weight.

It is imperative that a good manager cut out the infection as quickly as possible even if said manager made the bad hire to start with. They need to remove the employee, own up to their own mistakes in hiring of the person (behind closed doors) and move towards getting a qualified individual on staff.

You’re a juvenile loser.

Again, enjoy your Who Cares Bowl against Illinois, cockboy.
