We played a better schedule earlier in the year.
Everything is snow balling on us right now. Hitting, pitching and defense. I hope they can get it turned around but we are running out of time.
I doubt we get a top 16 seed at this point.

Baseball is a crazy game sometimes.
Very difficult to play at a high level consistently. Teams and players can get hot or cold at anytime. At least we know they have the ability to play at a high level. Hopefully they have a good weekend and get it turned around before the ACC tournament.

Baseball is a very contagious sport… when guys start playing bad it’s like the whole team follows suit. For us it seems when guys are slumping with risp it becomes team wide like they are thinking too much… baseball is not a thinking man’s game you react… and I feel like the bad play all around has become contagious and hopefully somewhere this weekend they start having fun and play loose to get right for the post season.

Well, earlier in the season we went 7-2 against 10th, 14th and 15th ranked ACC teams and the last 3 weeks we went 2-7 against the 1st, 2nd and 5th ranked ACC teams. I'll take playing 3 of the lowest ranked teams in the conference any day. Now, if we lay an egg against Pitt, we have a different story.

Looking back most of those ACC teams we beat when they were ranked 10th, 14th, 15th proved to be overrated. are any of them still ranked ? The early win against Oklahoma State turned out to be a so so win because they tanked . Ole Miss is pretty good and they run ruled us if you remember in like game 3 of the year .

Solid teams play much tighter baseball towards the mid and end of the season trying to get themselves in a position for post season play.
A team that starts slow and starts heating up towards the end of a season is in a MUCH BETTER position than the opposite. We are the opposite
