when thinking about losing to us in 2016. They came in with all the hype and momentum. However, the end of that game would be the start of a downward spiral for that team while we would go on to win it all. They were so close and yet so far. I think we broke them. Good times.

…in ANY game they have played in against Clemson when they didn’t think that (1) a penalty against Clemson should have been called, (2) they weren’t ready when the ball was snapped (even when they were on offense), (3) the weather conditions were not in their favor, (4) Clemson was playing a COVID-positive player that should have been on the sidelines, or finally, (5) it was an act of God (at least most of them are believers).

The football team has no tradition, their school has no academic prestige, their players are often violent criminals, their mascot is a dumb bird, and their proudest memory is almost beating Clemson.

ran out of bounds instead of making a play for the endzone. I guess he didn't know the down.

It never really comes down to one play. Our miscues allowed them to be in the game. For some reason there were times when our team lacked that killer instinct to put teams away early. In that game we backed off the gas. It was almost as if we toyed with teams at times. We blew an 18 point lead in that game. They finished their season with 3 consecutive losses. We were national champions.

If you watch the replay, first Edmonds forced the receiver to the side line, he then beat the receiver to the 1st down marker, then he made the tackle. The receiver did not 'step out of bounds', he was forced out by Edmonds. MAYBE if the receiver cuts inside it's a different story, but let's give Edmonds credit for making a great play.
