They are NOW! Before, coaches and administrators had to be DEI approved for hire. Not any more. Now we can get back to hiring people who are excellent at their jobs!! DEI eventually destroys everything it touches.

She is obviously an excellent coach- certainly no DEI going on there. I don’t like her stance on men in women’s sports but hiring her would be worth it just to see Gamecock heads explode.

but should CBB leave, I'd rather pi$$ glass than learn that she was a serious consideration. But then again you voted Kamala Harris when Michelle Obama didn't get the nomination..I mean Michael Obama after they forced the pedo w/ dementia to drop out...in other words you have a 'type'. MAGA forever. Hail President Trump!

Any organization should always take into account inclusion but never move away from merit based. Many organizations hire relatives that are not the best they can get. The same for inclusion, you should always consider this in your organization but I’m glad it is not being forced down your throat now.

Yes, and those initiatives pre-date the recent DEI initiatives, which came in floods after the George Floyd incident.

DEI initiatives in general came in floods in corporates in all types of different industries after George Floyd and BLM. Entire departments and leadership positions were created, policies enacted, etc. That is all relatively new, and is already being phased out in many businesses.
Pre-existing policies like Title IX and Affirmative Action are decades old.

saddis56® good job. I think you were right in challenging that statement as it relates to the current administration.
In seasons 1-4 Jared and Ivanka were White House advisors and were very involved. Show runner Donald Trump caught a lot of slack for casting the two and your can see in season 5 those two are staying in the private sector and out of the limelight.
In season 5 though, I’m not aware of any immediate or near immediate family with official positions.
And while not a government position, Eric’s wife was co-producer of the RNC but stepped down in December to pursue a singing career

So you "think" there is no affect of hiring based on political labels vs. actual qualifications? Good grief.
I think those tendencies existed before, and will exist after, DEI policies were enacted. DEI changed nothing.

African Americans dominate most sports out of merit based because they are the best athletes. When you are truly trying to win you put the best guy on the field no matter what color of his or her skin. There can be a little different mentality in the business community but to the point you sink your organization.

Everyone, including me wants fair treatment for employment and employee's. But lets stop pretending that DEI has anything to do with that. DEI is just a political tool to divide and create needless animosity so the crooks in DC can spend your money to fix it.
