Being a position coach in college football is a demanding job. Between recruiting and player management, you'd better have someone ready to work 80 hours a week and travel a lot. I doubt he wants to do that.

I'd have him as a special advisor/quality assurance analyst.

I believe he stays fairly busy. I cannot remember now what he was calling what he was doing but I remember it sounded to be time consuming.

How about an experienced coach with a proven track record? Kirkland is a legend but we need experienced leadership.
