So, against the advice of my Minister & Attorney I have news for you spirited Orange-minded, Clemson-loving, TigerNet Guys/Gals..

I’m BACK and You better be ready for more from a scrappy & crispy-looking 83.9 year youngster who is hopefully a bit smarter & wiser for the years especially after enduring but barely surviving our spunky political forum crowd last 8 years..

Who crazily feels he’s just getting started if our buddy Joe21 was ever a classic example that life really starts at prime time til 99.999.

I may finally be brave enough to put up some of my juvenile-like 1965-66 college sports writings done for The TiGER student newspaper where I interviewed great coaches such as Coach Frank Howard or players of that era.

And, I may share some of the book titles and subjects that I presently read in an attempt to better my body’s health and/or better my mind..as well as the supplements & apps discovered to hopefully help both.

Plus, I may share my insane habit of waving the very first cotton 3’ x 5’ TigerPAW Flag on a two-part aluminum pole from 1977-1992 taken to zillions of home, away & bowl games and the dangers & joys that fanatic hobby entailed which included assault, thief, blood, mud & a hole in it thus the battered flag was retired until the 2017 ACCCG vs Miami where Son waved it again (w/o pole).

Also, maybe I will describe the many travel trailers and Motor Coaches purchased to go follow the TiGERS into many states and stadiums across the South with a front tire/rim almost coming completely off its front-drive spindle on I95 on a 1965 antique Clark Cortez RV after the 44-0 rout in Tampa of Illinois with the #1 D in the nation (obviously)..

Or (again) tell more about the fantastic off-the-cuff 12 hour road trip made in 1979 with my 9 yr old Son playing games in the back of the new Toyota Hatchback to South Bend from G’ville SC and seeing Danny & Team as bus came up to stadium on that Friday afternoon at 5pm to inspect the NDame stadium & turf and he invited Son & I to walk in with them only to be left in the stadium and LOCKED IN but eventually we got out due to a familiar sound..

and the next day after Tigers upset NDame, we ran onto the field with PAW Flag, Band Director had me step up on his ladder so he could wave his wand and me the Flag as we held on to each to balance the limited space..while radio broadcaster Jim Phillips described it back to folks in SC and that’s when my Boy & I bonded as Tigers.

Saying, it’s not cheap to follow the Clemson Tiger FB Team since it’s a lot of planning, buying new Orange clothing, getting game tickets, airfare or loading up the buggy, getting family in sync, getting to the game site hopefully a day ahead so to check out the parking & stadium location, putting up with rival fans yelling crappp at you, having Paws stolen off your vehicle (hello you Penn St fans who took 4 paws but we had more!) and being a good loser when your team loses and you are hounded all the way back to your car (hello Dawgs!).

Oh, I may even give some personal insight to how little Clemson “College” felt to a scared single 17 yr old student living in the uninsulated Johnstone dorms in 1959 & later as a married student at 21 living in a WW2 prefab house made into a comfortable home for 4 seemingly long but delightful years which was located above the present baseball stadium during the 1962-1966 era..

As the old 1889 military/cadet era dramatically changed not only in name from A&M to College and being all male to when it began serving women and Americans of another race as “Clemson University”.

Well, it seems I have already said my say on a lot of what I wanted to share about my Clemson experiences and why I love that historic piece of land called CLEMSON or Tigertown to some due to its great people, fanatic fans, small village-like atmosphere, rolling hills and its pristine location near the beautiful Blue Ridge where the Tigers play & roar, Alway.

Lastly, I thank those who have enjoyed my first 15 years worth of varied posts and invite you to share your experiences and love for Clemson, Clemson U & Clemson Sports!

As usual..GO TiGERs & Jeep Rocking!

LBB ~

LBB , I hope that one helps. I'm hopelessly behind with no realistic shot at catching you...just like the Coots in our football series.
