Don’t want the dirt peckers getting in and having a shot. Just in case we don’t take care of business that would be the extra salt in the wound if we screw up and they get in. They’re insufferable enough now. Imagine those weeks. I don’t trust our defense. Would love to have a Venables d waiting for coots this weekend.

We are at 12 more for a benefit to them than a favor to Clemson. If we win, there's a big chance we are still not in. With us at 12, if the Gamecocks win Saturday they are in. The committee has set them up. They win they are in. We win and we will be first team out. I hope I'm wrong, but that's what it looks like to.me..

Venables is better than Goodwin, but its a little bit of revisionist history when folks act like BV was unstoppable. We did get torched a handful of times and he didnt have many answers for Perry Orth and Jake Bentley (one yr).

If we are being real about the situation, he probably shoulders as much blame as anyone for losing to LSU and Ohio St in the playoffs...his unit got stomped.
