Was the not accepting the restructured contact what allows Oklahoma State to fire him and not have to deal with the payout of $25 million? Was that part of his original contract because it seems like any school could just restructure a coach’s contract to be more favorable to the school and come out a winner regardless of whether the coach signs or not.


There has to be more to that than what I’ve read online. Seems very one -sided.

I can’t find a source where he has been officially fired.

“It would appear that the rumors of Mike Gundy's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Our sources suggest discussions are heading in a positive direction toward a resolution to keep Gundy coaching the Cowboys.“
