Going to be in Greenville tomorrow evening and looking for good restaurants. What y’all got?

Go Tigers!

Too many to name, too many price levels and too many different options but I agree Soby's is in the top of the list. You can add Larkin's, Rick Erwin's, Jianna, Sassafras and Coral and have plenty of options.

When in town we always enjoy City Range. It is a bit out of downtown. Good atmosphere and food. Not terribly high priced

What level of dining do you want?

Upscale? Middle of the road? Any specific part of town you'll be in?

Rick Erwin's West End Grille is the best restaurant in Greenville in my opinion (out of many great ones). It is definitely higher end though.

Another upscale option is Hall's Chophouse. Not as good as Rick Erwin's in my opinion, but still really good.

If you are going for more casual/fun, The Lazy Goat is fun option. Trio Brick Oven Cafe is also good.

The ones I mentioned are all downtown. Not sure how familiar you are with Greenville, but a visit downtown is a must if you haven't been before or in a while.

Judge,

Saying Rick’s is better than Halls is a hot take, but I respect it.

They are both outstanding for sure!***

With no reservation at this point your best option might be Jones Oyster Company downtown.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Jones is relatively small so, with the weekend crowds, expect a wait...

They DO NOT take reservations.

Sobys is a Greenville classic. I’ve taken many visitors there over the years and they have always enjoyed it. When folks are texting pictures of their meal and the restaurant to their families around the globe it makes you feel like you chose well

Downtown restaurants are overrated, go to Greer...just as good easier to park. Rick Erwin's, Select or L'incanto are all excellent.
