Georgetown really pushing for a good crowd at Capital One...

This Saturday. Usually don't draw well for early non conference games until the Big East schedule starts.
Also, usually they don't have good teams come there for non conference games. Think they might have had Syracuse a couple times before, but that is an old rival they have a history with. They consider Clemson a good team and program from the ACC and want to see if they can get over 8K to 9K in attendance with a couple K students included.
I think HC Ed Cooley now in his 3rd year is trying to change that. They just restarted the series with Maryland who they just beat in College Park and the return game at Capital One is next year, and also started a home and home with UNC, but the 1st game is in Chapel Hill later this December, and they go to DC next year.
It will be interesting to see what the crowd will be like and maybe if there is a decent size of Clemson fans inside. Check these links out. Links:

Wow, this photo at link was from their game last night. Pretty bad. If I were Ed Cooley, need to try to get some donors to pony up a 4K-6K arena on campus for their smaller games. Link:

The current on-campus basketball facility seats about 2,000.

It’s a glorified high school gym.
I like your idea for a larger on-campus gym for many of the games, seating 6,000 or so, but unfortunately space is an issue. I’m not sure where they would build it.
Cooley is a good coach. I was impressed with the job he did at Providence. I think he was a good hire for them and will make them better for sure. They have a great basketball history there.

No question they do.
Cooley has them competive now, brining in good recruits and transfers. One of their best best players is wing guard KJ Lewis who transfered from Arizona for this season. Think I heard Clemson finished 2nd for him. Getting him might have been the one missing piece this team might have needed.

Yeah, the official attendance was 3300 for bing. I doubt it was that many. I know being in the area I'm at, Maryland obviously dominates the coverage... but they're hungry for a bball team. It'd be good for the sport to see them relevant.
Anyway, this is fantastic for our kids. Especially the young guns. They need to experience a tough road environment. Will only help for the Bama game. Win or lose, Brad can use it. Kinda odd feeling to say, but I'm actually more excited about Saturday than I am tomorrow night.

I wish. Don't get old. Being a shut in sux.
Definitely excited for tip.
Off topic, but I might have to revise my optimism on us winning the acc this year. Just listened to an acc bball segment. I did not know there's so many amazing freshman this season. They were talking upwards of 7 possibly making the all conference team... that's crazy 🤪
ACC is going to be fun this year.
