Funny conversation I heard over breakfast this morning

Half way through the meal my wife announced we forgot to say the blessing.

My 5 year old who clearly gets his smarts from his old man asked why we have to say the blessing?

My wife responded that it’s because kids are starving in the world.

I bit my tongue but wanted to ask why he doesn’t give them food?

Maybe your wife has read this and just trying to show herself thankful for what she has and she might also be trying to teach the children to do likewise.

I understand being thankful but we were at bojangles where they’ve stopped serving home style chicken and were out of ketchup. If the lord was responsible for that he needs to pick up the slack. No excuse for being out of ketchup.

The Bible calls that an abomination. It's in Hezekiah somewhere around the 4th or 5th chapter I think.
