Overall, I saw a more aggressive style of play from the LB corps and DB. Penetration at the line of scrimmage was much improved. I didn't see much of the LBs waiting for the ball carrier to come to them and there was more swarm style attacking which ensures that a ball carrier is taken down to the ground. Good things happen for a defense whenever you gang tackle a ball carrier. There's an increased likelihood of a fumble whenever you gang tackle. It was unfortunate that Sammy Brown was ejected from the game for targeting, but I love his aggressive style of play. We need more of that, but with smarter technique. Had he led with his shoulder pads he could've continued playing. Overall, probably the most complete Wes Goodwin performance to date though and I'm seeing glimmers of hope from this team. Maybe not this season, but it's a very young team that expects to return to the Clemson roster next season. Another off season of development may prove to be Championship worthy and from there the playoff appearances can just keep piling on.

Their 2nd string QB threw for 350 yards against us. Your overall assessment is a little rosier than mine.

I will agree the aggressiveness was nice but leaving the middle of the field and receivers consistently wide open needs to be fixed. This has been a problem all year.

Coverage issues can be corrected by playing assignment football. However, it was nice to see the violence at the point of attack.

With giving up 438 yards offense to Pitt is was certainly a bend but don’t break plan. Just hope the Tigers don’t bend too much that they will break at the wrong time. Anyway, on to the next game and GO TIGERS

Glimmers of hope?? This team is 8-2 overall
And 7-1 in conference.
They should be in the ACC Championship although it’s not likely. Not impossible.
And yes they would beat either Miami or SMU.

Some of you have unrealistic expectations!!

Good grief give these guys some credit!

In our scheme on D it is important to have good pressure from our D line and LB’s, because every long pass that was completed last night was due to their QB able to escape the pressure and our CB’s and DB’s can only cover for so long!
