College baseball has worst rankings and seeding systems

They’ve been too harsh on Clemson
You see mixed records up and down the rankings. Some higher ranked teams even have worse records than a lot of those teams below them.
If you know what recency bias is, look no further than college baseball rankings.
Us being #15 is freakin ridiculous.
What about all the teams that have same amount of losses but way worse losses than we have?
You’re going to drop us 13 ranks for losing to 3 tournament teams, and one being a national seed?
Did they even see how we almost won that FSU series?
Now they’re going to cut us out of hosting for what?
Good Lord

Exactly. Had they avoided a sweep at NC State and won one more at FSU or Duke, the narrative changes completely, with a 7-7 record since playing Louisville. Instead they're 5-9. Its been a murderers row but the team has laid some eggs. It's not over yet, they just have to take care of business. Go Tigers!

Wow FSU, NC State, and Duke?
Aren’t those teams ranked 2nd, 13th, and 20th respectively?
That’s crazy
Coming close to a series win over the 2nd ranked team
Are you telling me that going .500 (7-7) against 3 hot, ranked teams including a top-5 team, wouldn’t be kind of plausible?
In the midst of it beating a great great Georgia team? With great pitching performances from our staff.
How many teams have gone 7-7 over a 14 game stretch?
How do you drop a team 13 spots from #2 to #15 based on a 7-7 stretch against ranked teams?
It affects the seed we get, so that’s why it’s a situation to be considered

The eyeball test the past few weeks tells them a lot. We certainly haven't looked like a top 10 team at all.

Series to 3 tourna teams. It is losing them all at the same time.
There's a funk in the dugout... so they give a funky ranking

Baseball is a different animal, streaks, slumps, momentum, and they take all of that into consideration.. the team is in a slump, and losing momentum, i think its fair and common, its also why there is no rhyme or reason to just looking at records….
It’s impossible to will a team out of a slump, it has to just happen, and I am hoping they get back on track with this last series and go on a streak…. Its the worse time to be in a slump,, so lets hope they can get out now..

I'd say #15 would be about right at the moment still time to improve that this series with pitt needs to be a sweep for the tigers for sure

Bro we’ve looked awful. Quit defending us. Don’t lose three straight series and this wouldn’t happen I think we aren’t even 15. We are more 20-25. Some of yall can’t take those orange glasses off.
