Starting pitchers

Smith- Will be good for us down the stretch. Just now made it back from injury never expected his first outing back to be perfect.

Darden- when he’s got it he’s got it. But there inconsistency with him. I almost wonder if experimenting with sliding Tistsworth or Allen in there to start with a short leach and Darden come in as long outing in relief.

Knaak- hands down our ACE one could argue he should start Friday but why stop his momentum in game 3. He sures up victories will be big in winning a regional.

Now is the time to play with things see what arms gives us the best chance in a regional. We’ve got a capable pitching staff

We don't have the defense for Darden's style of pitching. He's not horrible but he is clea

yep darden sucks. smfh. he had a bad day , fresh off a complete game gem. our d will be fine. hopefully we got a full squad come post season. google is a great thing. our staff has the 15th best era in the nation. that will continue to get better.

Some people just don’t know and wanna complain. Smith is as doing fine. Flood gates opened up after bisetta missing a ball.

I felt sorry for Darden yesterday. He is a ground ball pitcher and he was getting ground balls one after the other. Only problem was, they were finding holes to get through. He is a good pitcher, just had an unlucky day. Seldom does the opposition hit hard shots off him unless they are on the ground.

I definitely agree Knaak is the best starter and just like last year the ace is the Sunday starter. The only thing I have some concerns is in the regionals he will need to pitch the second game. I know Grice adjusted to that last year without any problem but he was more experienced. May not have any effect but just something to think about down the road.
