One day at Davidson College was an "all comers" track meet.
K and I signed up to have fun with all the events. We were about 45.
I was pathetic (nearly last) in the 100, 200, 400, 800, shot put, high jump, long jump, etc.
I later won the mile and 5K as those guys tired out, and endurance became important.
When points were counted K was awarded "Best Athlete" of the meet.
All my thousands of photos burned.
Here she is a couple years back capturing a Sasquatch.

Limestone is closed.
For decades a major race (Peach Festival) has been held there.
I have raced it many times. At 72 ran 22 there and lost to George Luke (no shame in that).
Here is a photo of a team of Charlotte Cops who went down "in the day" as it was a team race.
In those days times were radically different from now.
K won the over 40 and is completely safe with this bunch. Hell her times after 40 then might win over all these days.
