Bakich said on Mickey’s show this morning with the Thursday, Friday, Saturday series that “it’s not as simple as moving the pitchers up one day, we may have to shake up the rotation and pitch some starters in relief. But I do know Aidan is pitching Thursday”
So my opinion is that is coach speak for “our starting pitching has not been what we’ve wanted, and this is our excuse to make some starting changes without anyone getting butt hurt”
So here’s the bold prediction, and I only think this happens if we win the first two games of the series against L’ville.
Talan Bell gets the Sunday start. See what he can do against power 4 competition. This then lets us use Bailey to start the last two mid week games against UGA and Coastal. Then put him back in the pen as a long reliever.
Side note from the bold prediction, I think Gillen is supposed to be back this week as well.

yeppers, starters by committee. when you only have 1 true starting pitcher and the rest can go 1-2 innings before dropping accuracy; you have to do this method. That way we save our 4 best bullpen 'high leverage' dudes.

I wouldn’t be opposed to this at all because our pitching in the midweek isn’t good I don’t think we have a good chance vs coastal and Georgia unless we throw some of our dudes

Thinking Gillen gets an inning or two mid-week. Thank you so much. I can't listen to it up here so it's definitely appreciated.
Point is, we're getting there. I trust coach.
Louisville will be a tough test. Reminds me of Stanford. May not have the best pitching, but they can hit. A series win would be wonderful.

Bakich is trying his best. He has done a helluva job here at Clemson.
It may not be this year or it could be this year… but I truly believe this man will win us that elusive baseball National Championship at some point.

Gillen gets the start and opens for an inning or two, Bailey in relief on Saturday
That leaves all four available for Tuesday against Georgia.

Very possible it's by committee on Friday and Saturday. I've been hearing that UGA hasn't had a starter go past 5 innings all year but pitching is a weak point for them. Might work to keep the younger or arms with less endurance fresh and effective.

UGA struggles against LHP's too, so that works in out favor since it seem like thats all we have after Knaak
GT vs UGA tonight @ Truist - both teams will have bullpen games vould see 10-12+ pitchers this game.
UGA plays a Th-Sat series vs Oklahome next week too, so we won't see any of their top arms

Gill will get a little bit of work this weekend I bet. Dardy will still be Saturday or Thursday. Friday will be aid…coaches especially Bakich doesn’t like to change much and get guys out of schedule.
Assume bell will start vs uga. Might get a little relief work since wasn’t a mid week this week. Bell has been slowing progressing ramping up. They’ll do the same for anyone just like gill

Bell is probably the most talented LHP on the team and as someone else said, Georgia isn't great against LHP, so maybe the Georgia game is when they finally take the governor off Bell and let him stretch it out past 3 innings or so.
