Why? If people want to drink and are 21+ it’s their right. Why leave the stadium and come back in when you can get a drink in the stadium. Also it cuts down on the people who try to drink fast and chug and rush to get in because they can just get a beer in the game.

How so? People tailgate all day long and walk in the stadium toasted. There are studies out there that show beer sales actually decrease alcohol related incidents in college stadiums. People tend to not get blitz at the tailgate if a few beers are available in the stadium. Might help with the lack of fans during the 3rd quarter as well.

I was against this until I was at stadiums where they sold beer. They price it high, lines are long, and I have never had an issue at stadiums where they sell alcohol. I have been to chicken stadium, UNC, Duke, NCSU, and Wake. they all sell beer. This will bring in revenue for NIL and probably help us in the long run with that.
I think price and lines keep sales down so people don't get that drunk. I always thought I would be buying a lot of beer at those stadiums, but I never seem to. I think it all works out so people only have a few so it doesn't become an issue.

I would love to see the methodology of those studies or who paid for them. People always act like you can just say there was a study and get some sort of strong argument out of it. This is a case of Common Sense. Selling beer in stadiums will increase the amount of incidence

I don't think the family atmosphere was ruined by "EFF THE #####" (most recent example), but, it certainly wasn't enhanced by it, either.
Society seems more profane than ever. I hear it at Wal-Mart, the liquor store, the vape store ... basically everywhere there are Gamecock fans.

A profane culture uses profanity everywhere because there is no standard for what is profanity or decent behavior. It certainly has changed. The "F" bomb is common vernacular now. When I was a kid/teen it was not common to hear girls or women ever use profanity. Now we hear leaders of the country man or women swear like pirates in public. It's just the way the world is now. It reflects more what is (or is not) in our hearts. Not much we can do about it if we don't like it other than train ourselves and our children to speak that way.

What I don’t like is the insertion of “mother-fing “ between the O and N when spelling Clemson at the end of Tiger rag. There have been times over the years when the spelling of Clemson was thunderous and intimidating to the other team. Inserting profanity into that tradition just takes away from it IMO. And that’s all it is, is just my opinion. I don’t expect everyone to agree.

Some of the arguments on here are laughable and not based in fact. Recent studies suggest that allowing alcohol sales during sporting events may not lead to an increase in alcohol-related incidents; in some cases, it might even contribute to a decrease.
A study published in the Journal of Applied Sport Management examined universities that introduced alcohol sales in their football stadiums. The researchers found that implementing alcohol sales, coupled with comprehensive alcohol management strategies, did not result in an uptick in alcohol-related incidents. In fact, some institutions reported a decline in such behaviors post-implementation. The study suggests that controlled alcohol sales can mitigate unsafe pre-game drinking (also known as “pre-gaming”) and reduce the smuggling of alcohol into venues, leading to a more regulated consumption environment.
Additionally, a study published in Public Health Reports assessed alcohol control policies at professional sports stadiums. The findings indicated that stadiums with comprehensive alcohol management policies, including controlled sales, did not experience higher rates of alcohol-related issues. The study emphasizes the importance of effective policy enforcement and staff training in maintaining a safe environment during events. These findings challenge the assumption that alcohol sales during sporting events inherently lead to increased alcohol-related incidents. Instead, they highlight the potential benefits of regulated alcohol sales combined with robust management policies in promoting safer event environments.

“comprehensive alcohol policies “
If that isn’t a 2020’s phrase I don’t know what is
Look, if the majority want it , fine. But the dang bathroom line is long enough , so what will be done to combat missing half the 3 rd qtr due to the $12 beer needing to exit?
And I’ll be #### if they do not allow each fan one free “get out of jail “ pass for an assault charge if you need to rearrange the teeth of some annoying drunk guy.
At least the fights and arguments will provide some entertainment when Clemson’s offense takes the 3rd and 4th qtr off
