It’s amazing really. We are probably going to be ranked second in the country today and by the eye test no way do I feel like we are the second best team in the country, but this just shows EB gets the most out of his players.

HOPEFULLY EVERYONS KNOWS THAT PERSON IS JUST A TROLL COOT. AMAZED HE IS STILL ON THIS SITE. I KNOW SOME FEEL THAT WAY ABOUT ME BUT AT LEAST I CALL OUT TROLLS, NOT CLEMSON PLAYERS AND COACHES.

You’re not wrong. I see a great team. My only concern is pitching. We need that Saturday guy that’s sub two ERA and a guaranteed win. We have some great arms in the pen working towards earning trust to start. Garris is close.
After the top three losses I can see is at two as well. The top 6 have that Friday stud but also have weak weekend starters beyond Friday.

Thanks BC. Totally agree. Probably no way we should be 33-6 but we are. I think they're some fans that don't follow closely with what has happened to this team. I go back to fall... and even back to last summer. Bisetta, priest, Gaffney all had excellent BA's in tough summer leagues.
In the fall, it looked like he was going to have at least one other ace to rival knaak, and several other high leverage pitchers. Call it bad luck, whatever, but EB has really had to cobble a pitching staff together. Yet, we're top 20 era.
Couple that with the fact your cornerstone on offense has struggled. Only one dinger. The meat of your order, Priest and Gaffney are sub .300 hitting, yet we're 33-6 and haven't lost a series.
So he's really done an incredible job making this team resilient. We should get some help on pitching soon. And you have to believe our bats will start some streaks. Tough team coming in Thursday. Proud of them.

That's just it, right? The team doesn't look dominant based on stats or maybe even the eye test. But they win. 33-6 is a good record against good competition. It's not like they played Chicago School of the Blind and Silver Spring Baptist Church. Plenty to work on but plenty of reasons to be optimistic too. Go Tigers!
