Awaiting the start of my granddaughters softball

Game for the Illinois State Class 2A Championship. Starting soon to see who will play tomorrow for the Championship. These girls were picked to finish last in conference and won the conference, regionals, sectional and super sectional to advance to the final 4. These girls are known as the cardiac kids. Knocked off 3 #1 seeds and a # 2 to advance. They have the
“No quit” attitude.
Forgot to say that they lost 5 of the starters to graduation and replacement them with 3 freshman and 2 sophomores.

Well it didn’t turn out so well for the girls, but they went much further than expected since they were actually picked to finish last in their conference and won the conference, along with getting the job done on the way to state. The team played the #1 team in the state and held them to the fewest runs all season. Their pitcher is a Division 1 comment to LSU. Can’t finish no worse than 4th and I’ll take that considering they weren’t supposed to be even considered to do much. Next season should be a great one for them.
