or Oregon’s path to the championship? I’d rather go through ND and Penn St before the final rather than OSU and Texas. What say ye?

Probably take ND/Penn State if forced to choose but not a ton of separation here. Neither Franklin nor Day have been able to win big but Day obviously more successful. I’m not sure ND isn’t better than Texas though.

Sometimes in the playoffs....according to the path taken... you could actually play for the title without playing for the title. Then when you get to the title game ....it could be an absolute cake -walk.... because the team already beat the best or toughest opponent they had to face earlier.
Ohio State vs Oregon winner is going to carry a lot of tournament weight and momentum.

Oregon got shafted for sure. I think Texas and Ohio State have

the highest ceilings of anyone except possibly Oregon. That's a tough path likely having to play both of them just to reach the title game.
Georgia's side is quite a bit weaker although I do think ND is being underrated by alot of people. Their offense probably isn't good enough to win it all, but their defense is as good as anyone's. The ND vs UGA line is almost down to a pickem. Without Beck those two teams feel very similar. Excellent defenses and offenses that are going to be very limited in the passing game.

I think Texas is kind of overrated. They have a very good defense, but they weren't tested by very good offenses this year. We were the only top 20 offense they saw, and we didn't have much issue, despite having no running game. Offensively, they are one-dimensional, they haven't run well against anyone even average against the run (we are way below average against the run). Ewers also is the best passer in the country when unpressured, but is horrible when a team is able to put any pressure on him. He is #103 in QBR when pressured. Oregon and Ohio State will both get to him pretty easily. I kind of expect the winner of the OSU/Oregon game to beat Texas by like 3 touchdowns.
I'd say Oregon has been the best team so far, followed by OSU. UGA is #3 and I don't think it's close. They've beaten Texas twice, once in clear and convincing fashion that wasn't as close as the lopsided score showed and the other with a backup QB. I think Notre Dame is also a better team than Texas top to bottom (though I think UGA beats them).

UGA has it much easier. I think Oregon and Ohio State are without question the best teams in the playoff, followed by UGA. Beating Ohio State twice in one season is a very tall task. They are by far the best team on paper, especially at the skill positions (though I think Oregon has the best QB and line).
The other three are all pretty similar in my mind. Notre Dame probably is better than Texas (virtually identical defensive stats but ND has played better offenses + two elite running backs + Riley Leonard is a dual threat instead of the statue that is Ewers), and Texas is probably slightly better than Penn State, but I think they're splitting hairs. UGA matches up really well against Notre Dame. I'm not as convinced that Oregon matches up really well with Ohio State.

ND and Penn State are the easiest path. I can’t recall if that’s effing UGA’s path but it likely is 🙄. Gawd I hope they lose.

Ohio State will not beat Oregon but neither road is easier.
