Alumni website is down but saw online that Balfour is no longer repairing rings without charge under warranty? That’s egregious if true.

Local jewelers can resize the ring for you...

and it's less expensive than shipping the ring back to Balfour, Jostens, or Herff Jones. It's also less time consuming. I had mine resized a few months ago. I believe the jeweler charged me $40.00.

Herff Jones just did mine for free, but they will only move it 2 sizes per send

I need to get the black stuff on the face replaced
A run in with some nitric acid fumes turned it to goo and it all came out.

I’m guessing that stuff is epoxy?

Had mine resized last year at just the cost of shipping and insurance. Mine is Herff Jones.

Curious. I never got a ring when I graduated (too poor). Would love to get one now. Is that a possibility or has that ship sailed.

Thanks.

I was talking with my son (class of 2001) and his oldest daughter will get her ring next semester. He said the latest quote for ladies smaller "cocktail" ring was around $550 and largeset mens ring was over $2,000. I'm class of 1974 and bought mine in 1973 for around $60 for the smaller mens ring.

Gold prices are at alltime high and the days of cheap college rings are over, its all relative with inflation/gold prices from fiddy years ago.

Go Tiger.

ps. no ring cerimony back then. I picked mine up at the bookstore.
