Everyone makes a big deal out of his stats. T Boyd had big stats at CU but of course it didn’t help him make it in the nfl.

Honestly, if Boyd had come along 5 years later he probably would've stuck. Just a bad time being early before the spread really started to stick in the NFL.

It's not just stats. He is very accurate. He is a good player and would have gone in the first 3nrojnds at worst had he interviewed well.

You are right it's not just stats you see on paper. It's also what's not on paper. Late to the play, gets his receivers hurt how he sometimes throws into coverage. Takes unnecessary sacks trying to make a play happen. When he played a tough defense he was shut down. He's good don't get me wrong he's good and will likely one day be a great but not today. You don't spend a a top 3 pick on a project QB. Oh one more thing. Everything has always been given to him, he's never had to work for anything. Dad has given it him at all times

Well, he does take too long and he does have other issues and that's why his personality wasn't overlooked.. He is a very accurate passer though. He is a legitimate NFL QB. How good? Who knows? Maybe he is a legitimate backup? Maybe he is a legitimate starter? He is NFL quality and I watched him a lot. I never saw that guaranteed first round stuff though.

Still question who made him a 1st round pick. Also, no participating in the combine and other opportunities was a mistake in my opinion. Was that his daddy screwing him up? No idea.

He was considered a first round pick by everyone who makes mock drafts. The same people who don't every year. He was also picked as a first rounder by former players and general managers and beat writersm It was a common theme.. at worst going in the 2nd round. Do you follow the NFL and the NFL draft year after year? If so you shouldn't have to ask that question.
