magnitudes last night. They were sharper, more focused, had a better gameplan, and were in the right places at the right times to execute their plan. We were none of those. We just looked out of sync, overmatched, uncertain, and unmotivated for most of the game.

I know that "stars" and recruiting rankings don't tell the whole story, but they tell a huge part of it. They tell you who is getting the players they want, and who has to settle for what's left. In that regard, Clemson gets the players they (and Alabama/Georgia/OhioSt) wants, and Duke gets what's left. That's just a fact. Based on that alone, even with average coaching, Duke should never seriously challenge Clemson.
