We have a 2 game lead to finish either 2nd or 3rd in the regular season and can afford to go 4-1 in the last 5 games. The game at SMU will be the toughest road test since Louisville in early January. SMU is the real deal but if we can control the boards and the tempo, we can come out on top.
Yes, SMU is good offensively but don't play great defense. Don't think they are as near as good as Louisville. Chase is due for a huge game. Also Shieff is getting some more rest so he should be good Saturday. I think have a great chance to win.
SMU is good compared to the bottom half of the acc. They played a very weak ooc schedule. Every acc team with a pulse as they say have beaten them... and usually hasn't been close. I'm not sure how they maintain a net above 75. They have one quality win over Pitt.
It'll go in the books as a good win, but honestly if we don't beat them 10-20 , then we had a bad night. They may keep it to a low double digit win.
I won't be shocked if they get left out of the dance.
