He has been a terrible college coach. Byrnes run ended way back in 2011. They haven’t won a state championship since. You got your info way off base. 😆😆😆😆😆

BS, Bentley owned Knox, even when he was at Independence! Would not schedule Byrnes for a regular season game, because Byrnes kicked their A$$es EVERY time they played the "Border Showdown" in Shelby NC at Gardner Webb station. Check state records and see how many Byrnes holds compared to the Fort.

I've seen my son's varsity team play Mann, Daniel, Spartanburg and Christ Church...2a-5a....and yes...Daniel is the real deal. Not huge in size(but by NO MEANS small) they are tough. They don't do stupid stuff...commit stupid penalties..and are really disciplined. I don't think I saw a fat ### on their team. Daniel would be a DEEP playoff team in 5A(anecdotally comparing #### whooping I witnessed from from them and to Mann and Spartanburg)

Yes they do. But Tom Knotts will tell you they were very FORTUNATE to beat JL Mann 31-30 last week. They never led the entire Game and won on a 44 Yard FG at the end of the Game. I’m still P!ssex about that game!

JL Mann should have won that game and probably would have if they could play punt defense at all.
#4 for JL Mann is small, but he definitely showed out in that game. I don't know his 40 time, but he is shifty and can make contested catches.

Totally incorrect. My son played there 3 years and we had 1 transfer and 3 state titles during that run. My son has now started 40 plus games at Furman and 2 time all SOCON and from day one Furman coaches said DF players come with fundamentals and football knowledge like few other schools. Just go watch a DF practice it is amazing. Tom knotts teaches toughness in an age of snowflakes

Dutch fork had some issues recently in the stay classy department. A few years ago they won the state championship by beating a team from the low country. A few days later they placed an ad on a billboard here in Charleston making fun of the losing team. The ad was not about them winning but rather poking fun of the losing team. I was not a fan of that.

doesn't consider itself part of Columbia, as it is closer to the Ballentine/Chapin areas and has a monstrous fan base.
The school sits kind of out in the middle of nowhere with fairly prosperous subdivisions close at hand, and the support has amazed me among the locals, many of whom were prior Irmo High or Chapin fans. That it has won so many state titles, considering its relative newness, has been amazing.
Thought at first last night that White Knoll had their number, but the second half proved otherwise.

About like 90% of Native Dutch Forkers are Clemson fans. Dutch Fork used to be an agricultural community, so they identified more with Clemson than Columbia. Even with out of towners moving in, Dutch Fork is still majority Clemson fans.
