Saturday's loss couldn't have hurt us less.

In fact I think it's better than a close win. Cost us nothing in the long run, and gets everyone into another gear with preparation.
Friends, get ready to see the 2015 Tigers from here out.

We can only hope. We've got problems running the ball.

We really didn't try to run the ball much against Pitt

because the passing game was working so well and Pitt was blitzing all night. I really didn't like the playcall on that last 4th down conversion attempt and I believe if we had just lined up in heavy and ran the ball behind the bulk of our line we would have converted. We tried to run 3 yards on our weak side to pick up a foot and Pitt knew it was coming. We had already ran that exact same play once and it barely worked then. Not to mention our best offensive lineman was out and while his replacement picked up the slack and played well in pass protection our run blocking isn't going to be as effective.

Yep should have went up the middle. They knew it was coming from the FSU game plus why do that to our freshman left tackle. Up the middle to the right with Crowder Dex and Wilkins. Why not??

What are you talking about we ran it 25 times for 50 yards ? I'm sure 51 missed a block on every run . Get Hearn out of the lineup he is terrible.

Would you have felt better if they missed the kick? That's my point. Maybe a loss is what everyone including us needed.

These are a bunch of 18-21 yo's, some of which came off an undefeated season last year and a national championship game appearance, not to mention all the preseason hype they got. Winning close games reaffirms their thoughts, losing a game brings them down to reality, makes them hungrier to succeed.

You're an over emotional moron. I'll never understand how

whiney chicken little minded fans like yourself can be so delusional that they're this quick to throw out all the wins this team has against top competition, ignore the fact that we were without our best Offensive lineman and act as if this team had never proven anything and this was the first game this team had ever played together. Let me give you a piece of advice that will greatly improve your quality of life and give you peace of mind... No matter how good someone is at something, they are not going to be perfect and they're not going to be at their absolute best day in and day out. This goes for literally anyone and anything including a football team. You can go out and pick the best players at each position and make a football team out of nothing but the absolute best and I can guarantee without a shadow of a doubt that team will have a bad game. Alabama got throttled at home by Ole miss last year but they played pi$$ed off the rest of the season and turned that loss into a positive. If you expect constant perfection and undefeated seasons year in and year out you should just quit following athletics all together because you will always be miserable.

I'm the over emotional moron but you are the one who spun this into a life lesson. Spare me the Dr. Phil BS...Taylor Hearn has been getting beat all year...Boulware has been getting sautéed in coverage all year and is only a between tackles LB...we lead the ACC in pass interference calls...and the play calling has been a question all year...not as big as our execution but there have been some head scratching plays...
I'll never take away from what these kids have done. It's been phenomenal and I still have confidence in them...I just simply think this loss has finally brought fourth those question mArks. Not really necessary to be name calling here. I'm human...I know these kids, coaches, or team is not perfect. Give me a break.

See your point but don't totally agree

With a close win Saturday, we would have locked up the Atlantic, and could afford a close loss in one of the next two games without any significant consequence. We gave up our "freebie".
But I will concede that this will grab our attention and make us more focused going forward. Every week is survive and advance now. One loss and it's over. Five wins and we take the natty.
Atlantic, state, then ACC...then off to Atlanta/Glendale! Then TAMPA!!
