Ignoring this evidence is a sign of pro-Trump bias. Some degree of concern seems warranted. How to express that concern in a constructive manner is more difficult _ given 25 years of Congress abdicating their power to the President and highly partisan political parties.
Americans are pretty astute at deterring what is normal, fair and just. Something is amiss and rationalizing it as normal political banter is weak.

Yeah, Trump might not be launching a Blitzkrieg, but authoritarianism has evolved. Who needs tanks when you have social media, gerrymandering, and an army of supporters who think facts are optional? Hitler didn’t start with world war either. He started with rallies full of rage, blaming minorities, cozying up to industrialists, and promising to restore national pride. Sound familiar? Trump's just doing it with better lighting and worse grammar.
He’s got the greatest hits: demonizing immigrants, attacking the press, undermining elections, and now openly promising political revenge. That’s not strong leadership, it is banana republic cosplay. No jackboots yet, but he’s definitely polishing the boots. So sure, call him the worst Hitler ever if it helps you sleep. But if your standard for concern is a literal Blitzkrieg, you might be missing the part where history rhymes before it repeats.
