You look bad taking Doerens quotes out of context

With Lawrence he’s not saying anything about hurting him he’s just saying he needs to be rattled and hit. He wants to see what he’s made of when pressured in a big game. He’s very good but he’s a freshman and nobody knows how he will handle adversity and getting knocked around yet so that’s the plan.
This “finishing somebody off” stuff some of you are saying is wanting to injure people is simply him saying his guys need to finish a game vs Clemson off. It’s pretty simple really.
A few of you see what he is saying for what it is and you know there’s nothing wrong with it. The rest of you should calm down.
Also watch the hit on your RB a few years ago and look carefully. Your RB lowered his head at the last second, it’s there on video, there was no targeting called because it didn’t happen. It was meant to be a clean tough hit and the RB made a mistake lowering his head. It’s nothing like your 300 lb OL uppercutting on of our 200 lb DBs a few years back that you all love.

No wonder Nancy State is often referred to as North Carolina's version of u5c. It must make you so very proud being compared to a perennial doormat with the most mouthy, ignorant and deluded fans in existence.

With his history for trying to take out the other teams players,he should keep his mouth shut.
Guarantee ,his statements and tape of the questionable have already been sent to the ACC office.

What history? What players has the Pack taken out? Your RB doesn’t lower his head he never gets hurt. Wright wasn’t trying to go for his head, your RB ducked right into it. Show evidence of Pack players trying to take out opposing players.

The targetting rule doesn't say anything about how the player reacting to the tackle affects the targetting call. It does say the offender is guilty of targetting when he leads with the crown of his helmet. Go back and look at the play and see when the state player drops his head to "lead with the crown of his helmet".
Go back to your tarheel state.

Here’s the problem with that “tackle.” Watch the video. Whether Gallman “lowered” his head would have been irrelevant. The only thing it might have saved Gallman from, had he not lowered his head, was the concussion he suffered. The State player was launching with his face down and head toward target. It was spearing. Classic spearing. Had Gallman not lowered his head, it may have resulted in a broken rib or punctured lung. Also, had he not lowered his head, the State player may have broken his own neck when he impacted Gallman’s torso/chest because of his attempt to spear. The State player should have been ejected from the game. When you follow that with Doeren’s comments the next day, State, at the very least, certainly wasn’t sad to see Gallman had been injured from the hit, and at worst, the State player had been encouraged to intentionally try to knock one of Clemson’s leading offensive players from the game. It was pathetic on many levels, most notably by the poor officiating in not throwing the State player from the game. In my opinion, that wasn’t “just football.” That was bushwhacking. ????????????

On a play this past weekend, a defensive player came in from the side and dove low across the RBs path. The RB lowered his head and there was helmet to helmet contact. Targeting was called and upheld. The Officiating analyst said the call was correct. No leeway for RB lowering the head. In this case it was obvious the defender tried to cut the RBs feet to take him down. Still targeting! A front on contact has to be called given the definition and anaylsis by the official!
Look it up on your laptop...oh wait, guess you can't.

Why wasn’t called on Wright then? They reviewed it. It wasn’t called because they didn’t see targeting. Take off the orange tinted glasses and get over it. State fans aren’t crying about an all out assault on one of our guys a few years back committed by one of yours and you people actually CELEBRATE it on here.

I don't recall that play being reviewed at all. You are still missing the point.....the state player LED with his helmet and struck gallman's helmet....that is targeting. It doesn't matter if gallman lowered his head.
So you're comparing plays where one guy was legitimately knocked out and concussed and the other got a weak punch, which the state player acted up by flopping to the ground? Seems fair....smh.

Yeah, tried to coach Isiah up a little. Dropping his right hand could have hurt him in the later rounds but luckily he landed the RETALIATORY(get it, it means as a recompense to the dirty play that had already taken place) upper cut and thus sealed the out come! Never pick a fight with a bigger stronger man, especially when he is fully covered in body armor like a football uniform. You get knocked out and look like a fool!

Doeren said this about the hit on Gallman:
Oct 18, 2018, 8:13 AM
|
|
When asked if his team did everything they intended to do: “Yeah we did, you know I mean we knocked their tailback out of the game.”
His own words about his team’s past actions and intentions give us all the context we need for his recent comments.
He’s a dirty coach, perfect for your trash football program.

The definition of targeting: “forcible contact to the head or neck area while leading with the crown of the helmet”
That’s literally what that play was. And then Diva Dave doubled down on it by saying it was one of their goals to knock him out of the game.
Just come take your L and shrink away like a good boy.

It was absolutely a missed targeting call. You can't lead with the crown of the helmet, which is what the state player did. Also how many times have we now seen a ball carrier try to "get small" and a targeting call made. The fact that gallman lowered his head doesn't excuse targeting.

Whatever pack pupy, come Saturday Dave's mouth has put his guys in a position they may not like. While our O-Line should take notice and perform well to protect TL, I would guess our D-Line/LB's took notice too. Not good to poke the ###(n) bear boy! SO if they happen to meet at Finley and sorta rip him in half it is on ole Dave, just remember that when it comes.

Wait, an uppercut to someone's helmet is the same as intentionally leading with the crown of your helmet and knocking a player out cold. He also lost a tooth on that play. I bet the uppercut hurt Battle's hand more than it hurt the player.
The worst part is your dumbarse of a coach bragged about the hit the next day. Also the worst part of what he said yesterday was "we need to hit with a bad attitude just like we've done in the past." OF COURSE YOU WANT TO HIT HARD!! Your stupid ### just shouldn't say crap like that especially after catching heat for bragging about giving a player a concussion. He's just more of an idiot than anything. Can't wait for the blowout this weekend!!
You sound like my idiotic state fan friends. Growing up in Raleigh, having to deal with state fans is the worst. Worst fanbase in the ACC.

You know that uppercut landed on his chin right? There’s no protection underneath the helmet. The OL connected on his chin and not his helmet. Yes, that’s a huge difference than Wright not targeting your RBs head but your RB simply ducking into the hit. It was intended to be a clean hard hit and that’s how every fan wants their defense to play, clean and hard.

Battle's uppercut was indefensible and he should have been ejected from the game. Watching the film, I see our coach in his face yelling at him and pointing for him to head to the bench. I do not recall it being celebrated by the head coach in the press conference.. but nice attempt at deflection

You seem bad at understanding the rules - Long
Oct 18, 2018, 10:20 AM
|
|
|
NCAA Rule: No player shall target and make forcible contact against an opponent with the crown (top) of his helmet. This foul requires that there be at least one indicator of targeting (See Note 1 below). When in question, it is a foul. Note 1: -Launch—a player leaving his feet to attack an opponent by an upward and forward thrust of the body to make forcible contact in the head or neck area (does not apply here) -A crouch followed by an upward and forward thrust to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area, even though one or both feet are still on the ground (does not apply here) -Leading with helmet, shoulder, forearm, fist, hand or elbow to attack with forcible contact at the head or neck area (indisputably applies here) -Lowering the head before attacking by initiating forcible contact with the crown of the helmet (indisputably applies here)
You can see in the attached photos that the relative level of Gallman's head to the tackler does not change. You can also clearly see that the tackler was leading with the crown of the helmet from the start. His arms are by his side and he makes no attempt to use them in the tackle. This is textbook targeting.
Words have meaning. Doreen knows what he is doing. He is maintaining plausible deniability. How would an undefeated team need to "Finish somebody" in the context of another team. They haven't lost a game since last November..
Admit your coach is a ######, but he wins, so it's ok. Don't twist the facts to defend him. You should aspire to be better than that

He does know what he’s doing, that’s the point. He’s just a lowlife for using this avenue in a weak attempt to get in the heads of our Tigers.
Sad. Immature. Unprofessional.
He’s not a good leader. Glad he’s not in our house.
