for less than 200 yards, and MSU, around 10-20 for less than 150 yards. MSU also sent SCAR out with about 7 or 8 three and outs offensively.

Or maybe Shaw isn't that good?

CS is good on a roll out or throwing down the middle of the field. Make him move and throw to the edges, and he stinks. I've said it for three years. UF took away the run and the middle of the field.

Kid is a heck of a college QB.
Beatable? Sure. Has his faults? No doubt...but kids a gamer and a baller.
SCar fans better have enjoyed these past years, given them the best they've ever had.

Shaw is still undefeated at home which is quite respectable. They will score points, we just need Boyd to be on fire.

whether Boyd is on fire or not. But my gut says Boyd and Sammy have a major point to prove. And just like other teams have learned this year, you double up on Sammy and we can punish you with Bryant who can pick a ball over most safety's heads.
For Boyd and Sammy to walk into the draft with 3 consecutive wins over ranked SEC teams (or 4 if we are lucky in a bowl) is a HUGE deal for both of them I think.

Connor Shaw is NOT that good.

He plays in system which demands only what he can give: deep throws down the middle, and scramble when it's open. That's it. He get "make all the throws." He isn't accurate. I applaud his game, but he wasn't "off" last night. UF put pressure on him and took away the middle. BV should do the same.

Took notes on what, how to build a time machine and recruit better players and pump them full of steroids? Because that's the only way we could stymie the chickens' offense. They are going to run the ball all over us with that huge OL.

You just need to stop one guy. Davis. Their #2 rusher

is Shaw. And his numbers aren't that high. So, regardless of who holds the line overall, focus on Davis. We were able to hold BC's Andre Williams to low yards over a ton of carries, so it can be done. And with the exception of the one broken cover play for 75 yards, we were pretty effective at holding Gurley back earlier in the year.
Our situation is similar with Boyd behind MacDowell. But Brooks is still effective whenever he's given a chance (over 5 yards per). Throw in Boyd and we have a better chance of getting those few extra yards on the ground when needed in my opinion.

The problem isn't necessarily stopping Davis, it is stopping the 5 hosses in front of him. This is the bet OL I have ever seen the chickens have. They will smash us up front.

more aggressive than ours? They held Davis like we held Gurley. Take one busted cover away for 75 yards and Davis/Gurley had mediocre days.
We can look at Mizzou to see how to throttle their ground game overall, too. Even Vanderbilt held Davis to under 90 yards if I remember correctly. It may have been under 80.
