But why, some say, a new Coach? some others say, the Final Four? Why choose these as our goals? And they may well ask, why climb the highest mountain? Why, 54 years ago, Walk on the Moon? Why does Rice play Texas?

We choose to Hire a new Coach and win the ACC Tournament. We choose to go to the Final Four... We choose to go to the Final Four in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too.

Hey man if we chose to be a Final 4 program we would put all of our money into basketball. That won’t happen for obvious reasons. The new facility won’t help, because Brad is still here.

But this program is one that gets enough money and support to try and make the NCAAT consistently, and if we get lucky we win a few games. That’s what it is. Radakovich and Neff have shown that.
