Dabo doesn’t use NIL to recruit because it’s against the rules. Plenty of our players have NIL deals and they have an entire complex dedicated for NIL use. No wonder the pitch forks come out so easily many believe whatever headlines they see.

Exactly!! I can understand the TP argument because it’s a fact he doesn’t use it. The NIL narrative is a bold face lie that somehow people believe it.

He refuses to use NIL to recruit players.
Which I think is absolutely hypocritical. What's the difference exactly? If Phil Mafah doesn't get an NIL deal this past offseason he's gone. So what does it matter one way or the other if you're waving money in the face of a player to ensure they're on the roster?
College football programs have been incentivizing college choices for year with Facilities and "perks". Now it's just NIL.
For something to be "illegal" it sure is odd that every #### team in the nation is breaking the law.

Fact of the matter is Clemson is the ONLY Power 5 school that does not take advantage of the portal BECAUSE of Dabo's dislike of using NIL to do so.

That’s good fit them but I’m not gonna expect the man to break rules. When NIL was formed it was for players to profit off of their name/image/likeness was never intended to be pay for play.

And you don’t think they show the recruits the NIL building and go over all of that with them?? He’s not going to tell a recruit “hey we will give you 1,000,000 to come play here” because you can’t

They do it third party the Head Coach can not facilitate it, you can call BS all you want to but that’s a fact. Not surprising it’s BS when it doesn’t fit the talking point. Nothing is stopping you from opening the checkbook and setting up NIL for our players. Not having a booster program to throw money at kids would fall at Neffs feet not Dabos.

Most of the transfer ###### (the high profile ones anyway) are doing it because their new favorite school is offering more money.
Dabo’s rule is he will never use money to lure a young man to Clemson.
This applies to high school kids and transfers.
I stand by our Coach.

I suspect he is parsing words. HE doesn't use it but the recruits get info from the Clemson NIL folks.

It is illegal to use NIL to recruit players to your school. Once you get them there you can NIL YOURSELF TO DEATH. Schools like A & M
and FSU are using 3rd 4th and 5th parties to do the bidding beforhand

Clemson has that what do you think the branding institute does? The other schools also have rich boosters who are willing to sling money everywhere, are you willing to write those checks for recruits?

Like when Kirby smart claimed he had no idea Drake Maye was offered $5 Million to come to Uga.

but reality is a different animal.
Replacing 10-15 scholarships a year with high school kids and walkons will be the equivalent of a death penalty eventually. We are already seeing the beginning results of a lack of timely experience and depth on the depth chart and field of play and it will only get worse every off season cycle without replacing those sophmores and jrs with other sophmores and jrs. It's just common sense.

I think it's possible that Dabo may make some changes with just how many walk-ons that he has on roster. I'm not saying that he will, but he might in order to give himself some room for a possible TP guy that fits what he is looking for.
I don't know ultimately what he will do with the TP, but he did in fact look at a couple of guys in the TP but they were already bound for somewhere else. I think that's part of the problem also. I believe that a lot of the guys that go into the TP have already made deals with their next school. It's hard to compete with that when you are not going to tamper...which Dabo is just not going to do.
