I don't think it's the best bourbon ever, but prolly the best for the price.

at least around here at VA prices. Somehow state stores can't get enough to keep it in stock here.

It's not a terrible bourbon but Dickel 8 Year at $26 is farrrrr better.***

That private barrel is good but not amazing. Bit rough at finish. (That’s what she said)

I am with you on the Double. I like it. But I really like the smooth of the 1792. But it’s also small batch so probably shouldn’t be comparing the two

Same here. Need a friend at the store to hold a bottle. The state runs all the stores here in NC. Price is consistent store to store, but hard to come by. Elijah Craig is good for the price as well.

Once the bourbon hipsters made Pappy the holy grail of bourbon, anything coming out of buffalo trace got overhyped in desirability. You could find Weller for $25 all day too 20 years ago before these a-holes bum rushed the bandwagon.

last summer when some friends brought me BT, Eagle Rare and Woodford Double Oak from the distilleries. Now I'm up to 70+ bottles according to my OnlyDrams app. More of a fan right now of the Jack and Turkey families of whiskey, but I like getting barrel picks from places like 13th Colony that aren't distributed in SC. And I've spent a lot of time going to NC ABC stores lately since most everything is MSRP - picked up Jack 12 and 10 for $95/$85, I've seen Jack 12 for $299 in SC...

But I do like Blanton's even though it's the holy grail to hipsters and trash to the oppositional people.

I do like BT. But won't pay those prices.

One of the local stores has a $300 25 year Crown Royal.

on gamedays, trips, or hosting parties (b/c people love it). Admittedly (rather embarassing) I think I have a 5 or 6 bottles on hand.

I'm actually out of storage space for new bourbon. Realized that after I picked up another Blanton's my local shop emailed me saying they were hold for me (had no idea I had as many as I did).

tater-bragging over....

it's fantastic as a game day bourbon. my game day bourbon = tall glass, full of ice, half full of BT, half water. if we have 4 consecutive 3 and outs, it's basically 7/8 BT splash of water, i sleep on couch ####(ed) (hopefully not on myself) drunk.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmman that #### goes down good hahahaha

tastes like sweet tea to me.

as a former sales guy, you should know it's all marketing. they crushed it, so good for them.

it's a decent value at stock / msrp price or whatever. I'll snag a couple going into football season (handles only) and those last me quite a while.
