Ive been thinking about the response CBB gave to the Indiana question

and I’m not feeling great. My initial reaction yesterday was that it was a rookie PR mistake on his part, and he is going to be loyal to Clemson after all the loyalty Clemson has shown him. If this were true, however, I think he would have immediately addressed it, and to my knowledge, he has not. This is beginning to feel a lot more like the OP and/or Barnes situations where we wake up one morning and he’s gone. I really hope I’m wrong about this, but we’ve been down this road before.

I didn't get much sleep last night obsessing over the prospect. However, Indiana has a history of coaches who assault players on the court.
This marriage seems inevitable and no amount of begging or handwringing will stop it. Just enjoy the time we have left...

I thought about too. Still think it's a potential
rookie response. The proper response imo would have been to say "both teams are still playing basketball, so I'm not going to make a comment about some media rumor" then at that point should have said "all I'm focused on is the next game we play " end of story and that's exactly what Dabo said initially. Hence difference in rookie answer and veteran answer.
So, all Brad did was fumble and left the door cracked for speculation. And our assistant moderator, you, are addressing potential scenarios on our opening day of acc tournament play... sowing seeds of doubt. That's what happens when you don't address the situation properly.

until further notice. And I know Dabo would gladly field such questions if it will allow his mentee the head space needed to focus on tonight's test against a very scrappy SMU Mustang basketball team.
If he'd have done that, we wouldn't be in this predicament heading into ACC play.
