So we have to wait and see if late offers to high schoolers start getting thrown out. I suspect that they will, just based off previous tendencies.

Capehart played very well early 8n the year. IMO, he was our second best DL player against UGA (Peter Woods was spectacular aga8nst UGA).

Regardless of whether new guys Thompson, Brown-Schuler, or Amare Adams are ready to play meaningful snaps at DT in 2025, it is hard to imagine that any one from among that new group will be as good as a healthy 6th year Sr+ like Capehart.

Guys like Capehart playing meaningful snaps in a DT rotation are what CFP champion teams have.

You’re not correct. Any player on a roster in 2020 gets 5 years to play 4 seasons and the 2020 season does not count at all. Williams, Capehart and Howard have all played 4 seasons of more than 4 games and none of them include the 2020 season. Therefore they are out of eligibility unless they received a medical exception for one of those years.

Capehart in particular would benefit from another year of college ball (because his 2024 snap count is quite low due to injuries) for ‘auditioning’ for NFL scouts.

Keep in mind that the 2020 season does not count toward a player's eligibility whether they played 0 games or 12. Beyond 2020, they get 5 years to compete in 4 seasons. If they play in more than 4 games in a season that is considered competing in a season.

Parks Games:
2020 11 (this season does not count against him)
2021 13 (year 1 exhausted)
2022 13 (year 2 exhausted)
2023 2 (redshirted)
2024 12 (year 3 exhausted)

Parks has 1 more season left

Capehart Games:
2020 4 (this season does not count against him)
2021 5 (year 1 exhausted)
2022 13 (year 2 exhausted)
2023 12 (Year 3 exhausted)
2024 9 (year 4 exhausted)

Unless Capehart got a medical for 2021 he is out of eligibility.

Williams Games:
2020 2 (this season does not count against him)
2021 11 (year 1 exhausted)
2022 12 (year 2 exhausted)
2023 5 (year 3 exhausted)
2024 12 (year 4 exhausted)

Unless Williams got a medical for 2023 he is out of eligibility.

Howard Games:
2020 3 (this season does not count against him)
2021 3 (Redshirt)
2022 6 (year 1 exhausted)
2023 10 (year 2 exhausted)
2024 9 (year 3 exhausted)

Howard has more year of eligibility.
