I want to hear Trump acknowledge that, before asking Ukraine and Zelensky to apologize.

The fact that such a simple and obviously true statement merits a wow, shows how far off the rails Trump has gone regarding this war.

Odd questions. I can answer those for him. He agrees that Putin is an adversary who started the war. He doesn't want Ukraine to surrender. He doesn't agree with MAGA making Ukraine the problem. Very odd questions.

Only thing I would say slightly differently is I’m ok with Ukraine surrendering if that is what they want to do. They are a sovereign nation that can make their own decisions. I’d prefer they don’t surrender, but if they do so be it. We (all of NATO) would just have to be prepared to beef up defenses in Poland because they would be invaded next.

No but Russia will want it to expand their territory.

We would then have to defend it per our NATO agreement, although in that scenario I see Trump pulling out of NATO and supporting Russia’s invasion.

to cut the Baltic states off from the rest of NATO, and then tag-team them with Belarus. Poland is no pushover. They spend a larger % of their GDP on their military than any other NATO member, including the US. They've been preparing for Russia for decades.

There are five big lies MAGA unequivocally believes

1 Trump won the 2020 elections 2 J6 rioters did NOT violently attack the capitol and assault Capitol Police. The violent insurrections are innocent victims of lawfare. 3a Putin is NOT a ruthless dictator who murder his opponents, invaded Ukraine and commits war crimes. 3b Zelenskyy is a dictator whose desire for closer ties to the EU and potentially NATO fully justifies Russian military invasion of international borders. 4 Biden who was mentally incapacitated operated a sophisticated crime syndicate for his family. Obama was really running the country from 2021 to 2024z 5 Trump’s economic policies will benefit the working class including his base and will decrease the deficit. The MAGA Congressional along with right wing media propagandists will create a smoke screen to obscure economic realities.
Any contrary positions are ultimately dismissed. Mike Johnson like many MAGA politicians initially say things that represent obvious facts and reality but will ultimately walk those back to align with MAGA’s alternative narrative.

I’d add one more. Trump did not commit any crimes that he was charged with or convicted for, it was just the deep state Dems going after their political opponent.

I think we would all like to see Putin defeated. However throwing money at the Ukraine will never result in anything more than the current stalemate at best So what's your plan?

plan, but I can say this with confidence, it would not include kissing our enemy's ace and rewarding him while making the victim out to be the bad guy. I mean forcing a democracy like Ukraine to surrender to a murderous dictator is NOT a great "deal" and takes zero talent or expertise.

Delusional, but I do believe that the anti-gay stuff is a big reason why MAGAs prefer Russia to Western Europe. It certainly isn't because Russia has more freedom of speech (they don't) or because Russia doesn't have Muslims living there (15% of Russians are Muslim, more than any other European country).

They like Russia because they fell for the Russian propaganda on the nutty websites they use and due to the fact that their cult leader supports Russia. They.are very simple.
