Yesterday on the Links was eventful!

I invited a very good friend from Spartanburg over to play at Walker and had 2 other members join us. One was a career coworker with said Sparty friend. The setting:
Course was playing cart path only due to rains the evening before.
Sparty friend had a hangover from drinking with GVL friends Mon evening.
Hole 1, friend is having trouble making solid contact, hits third shot into creek. Gets his ball retriever out but can’t snag ball. Proceeds to step down on sand in creek, stumbles, and falls onto wet sand. No pigs
Hole 6, friend coworker pops his tee shot up and into creek down in a ravine. The 2 drive the cart beside creek(off cart path a no-no), find ball, takes drop, hits shot. Then the 2 Walker members try to drive cart up steep hill on wet grass. They get part way up, cart starts sliding backward, driver stomps brake to no avail. Passenger jumps off, driver stays on cart as it slides back into creek, 6 ft drop!
While all that happened, my Sparty friend and I were uphill on fairway and didn’t see any of it until I walked back to edge of ridge and saw the driver climbing out of the creek!
Course staff came, got their golf bags, course super p*ssed. Lots of laughs happened at turn when word spread!

I have been shitcanned many a times on a golf course, but never has it crossed my mind to do something this stupid with a cart or disobey cart path only, particularly on a soggy course. Sounds like entitled ###### canoes.
