first round NCAA exits on his resume. This has been an incredible 8? game run for them but I think many State fans wanted him fired 3 weeks ago.
Oats is a very good coach that has won consistently at both Buffalo and Bama. The Brandon Miller situation last year was not a good look for him, but you can't deny his coaching ability.
Now what conclusion was I supposed to draw here?

The NCAAT is a crapshoot and a perfect example why the best team very rarely wins the championship. NCSU would've been sitting at home if not for a magical 5 day run. Those 5 days should not replace the previous 4+ months. As for Oats, he's built a very good team in a short amount of time. Good for him. Not sure how this is supposed to affect my opinion of CBB.

Do we want to count the years where CBB had to hide the locker room from recruits or before he had the budget to hire decent assistants? Seems he was dealing with things outside of his control for the first half + of his tenure.

Was Purnell using different funds and facilities? That argument is bologna. Cabinet was not bare when Brad took over. Whether 14 or 50 years he is here and just went to the elite 8 and will be given a contract extension for another 5 years to see if he can build on this years momentum.

This miracle run saved Keatts' job. State was going to kick him to the curb.
Oates allowed thugs to continue to play on his team at Bama.
Brownell runs a solid, clean program with players any mother would be proud of.
Brownell is the best basketball coach Clemson has ever had and any talk of him being replaced is just stupid.
