That's disappointing

I was believing that Stoudt would of been a good backup QB under the right system and coaching. People don't understand that he had a nagging injury just about the whole season and if it wasn't for our lack of depth at QB, he wouldn't of played injured like he did. He had some bright moments in his career at Clemson. Other than the bowl game, i thought he played very well at GA. Hopefully another team will give him a chance

I concur. I think we can all agree that Cole was a square peg in Chad Morris's round hole, spread style offense. Look how much better he performed in the bowl game when the offense was adapted slightly to him and he had several weeks with Coach Streeter. I agree 100% that he is a project, I was just hoping that he could get on as a back up. He is much better suited to a pro-style offense. He may yet be picked by another team for what the NFL would consider pennies.

We ran the same offense in the bowl game as we did...

all season. Tony Elliot and Jeff Scott were being groomed to be co offensive coordinators and run the same style of offense that Chad Morris runs. Dabo has said it himself, that we will still being running the HUNH. Also, we used spread formations nearly the whole game against OU. We are not switching to a pro style offense. We are still running the spread HUNH.

He was lucky to even get a shot in the NFL....

By the way he played terrible against UGA. And he played terrible before he got injured. He only had one good game in his career, and that was his swan song in the bowl game against OU. Not bashing him, but based off his performance, one good game in a college career does not equal much of a chance of even being a backup in the NFL. He has a Clemson degree, so he will be fine in life. Some people just need to admit he just didn't workout.

He drove us right down the field on the very first drive. He was making great throws and good decisions. I think he lost some of his confidence towards the end of the first half because if u remember, our receivers were dropping alot of well thrown passes and we couldn't establish a run game.

which QB was better in college that year, much less which is better suited for the NFL (probably neither).

Stoudt is soft... he never would've played in the League. Sorry but it's true.

Soft? I don't think so.

Soft? I think you need to go back and watch the Boston College game. He was making throws than running downfield while dragging his non-throwing arm with him. He couldn't even move that arm and he was still playing. You can say he wasn't any good if you want, but don't call the man soft he was far from it.

How do you get released in May? They havent even started involuntary workouts yet

Thats like being fired from a job before you even start. Ive never heard of a player getting cut 2 weeks after the draft. I'm thinking there was some miscommunication and he was never officially signed on to the team at all.
