Takes a complete game, 60 minutes of aggressive football! Zero of conservative football!
Our OC tends to take his foot off the gas to play conservative, which will not work in this game! Pass and full speed roll outs by Cade, running backs off tackle, with with some short passes and draws...
Our DC tends to play straight up on his calls, we need blitzes from everywhere, all the time, the whole game! He almost cost us the SMU game dropping 8 and rushing 3. Hardly slowed down their short pass game and the QB rush (It did cost us the USC game....).
Our D needs to play wide open all game! Put the QB under pressure on every play...
We have the players to win, we need a smart game with great calls by our OC and DC!
Dabo's the boss, make the calls...

Texas 24- Tiger 13.
You don't play 13 games with clear reoccurring issues and correct them in 2 weeks. The Tigers are solid, but have some obvious weaknesses that align directly with Texas strengths. The Tigers will fight and similar to the UGA will be in the game late 3rd qt, but just can't score. A tired defense gives up a late rushing td to Texas. Tigers have to recruit or portal out of the weaknesses and get ready for next season.

Bonds, their version of renfrow is out. If he sticks with ewers, then this really can turn into an easy W for us.

We have 5 guys as good as Bond, probably, but Ewers is a turnover machine and will likely help you out. If Sark were to switch to Arch another problem would be presented, the mobile QB. Arch is nothing like uncles Eli and Peyton in that he can run like his grandfather. He's also got the much better arm for the deep ball than Ewers which opens up the run game.
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if Clemson won at all. Coaches are stubborn and they all have one or more issues they stick with. Dabo had his portal issues, but Sark has his Ewers issue and played him all year with Ewers being injured.

I'm thinking if Ewers don't move the ball consistently early, we will see Manning early bc we haven't shown that we can stop a running QB and Manning is a way better running QB than Ewers ever thought he could be.
Sarkisian may shock everybody by starting Manning bc of our troubles of stopping a running QB!!!

Texas has a tendency to have turnovers. Clemson may be able to capitalize off of those turnovers and put points on the board. Further, Dabo has been known to conceal the playbook until the post season. A fact that I believe will be revealed tomorrow afternoon in Austin, Texas. Clemson wins this one if the Defense stuffs their ground game and puts pressure on the QB.

I also remember a time 10 years ago when Clemson burst on the scene and were the #1 seed in a playoff bracket that OU surely would've breezed through on the way to the NCG...
Except that didn't happen. And let's not forget this program defeated 2 Alabama squads that at the time were lauded as perhaps their best of all time.
Texas is a tough opponent, but I look for them to waltz in thinking this is a tune-up game before they make a deep run only to find themselves staying in Austin for the holidays.

We don't have the talent that we had back then, and we don't have the coaching staff that we had back then. IMO, position coaches at WR, RB are two key positions on offense that calls for top position coaches that we don't have at those two positions, plus Reed comes up with a fat F as our special team's coach/coordinator.
I don't believe Wes Goodwin was a good choice as DC, and IMO Garrett Riley is starting to be suspect as our OC...
I believe that Dabo meant well by trying train a coaching staff within, but IMO it hasn't worked out well and he should rethink that plan...

Cade Klubnik will be the X factor. He has something to prove: that he was he best QB in Texas high school when Clemson offered him a scholarship. Now he wants to show his Texas friends how he can play elite football. The Freshmen wide receivers will feed off of Cade’s energy and score 4 touchdowns. The Defense especially number 47, 3 , 0, and 11 will keep Ewers on his back with 5 sacks. GO TIGERS

Yes we have our issues, but so do they. No sense writing this one off as a loss just yet, let’s see what happens. This is a big game for the future of our program and the players and coaches know it. Not saying we’ll win, but I wouldn’t be shocked if we did. Go Tigers!
