I just prefer the focus of the win be on the players. Mafah had a career day and O-line and D had their gutsiest performance of the year. I know CDS says those things, but his prepared statement about stock is clearly scripted ahead of time and not spontaneous. 90% of posts and reports about the game are just about Dabo’s quote. I watch a lot of college football and sports news, and no coach loves to hear himself talk more than Dabo. It’s gotten worse the last few years with no star players to warrant media coverage.

I’m way more concerned with an offense that goes dormant as the game gets late than I am with Dabo’s comments. My hope was resurrected today. Scripted or not, his post game was a breath of fresh air compared to ignoring reality. But this was one game. To be a top notch program again this offense and staff has got to find a way to put teams away, especially when given good field position.
