A few thoughts on pre-season WR videos:

1) It's clear there was little player & upperclassmen leadership on last year's squad particularly on Offense. It was a young team. Some of the WR's mentioned they felt entitled more than hungry at the beginning of last season. This feeling seems to have flipped for 2024.
2) Coaches are clearly developing WR skill sets and evaluating player readiness for roles in the rotation in the very short pre-season. My thought is less is more, specifically I hope to see less WR's in the rotation and the ones who with the top talent levels (possibly Williams, Brown, Wesco, and Moore) getting most of the reps with Stellato, Randall and Hanafin working where and when needed.
3) Dabo's modus operandi has typically been to start upperclassmen in Game 1 regardless of talent levels. This backfired some in last year's Duke game with lackadaisical play and turnovers. With the challenge of #1 UGA, it will be fascinating to see the starters & early rotations for Tigers in Game 1.

Love what I'm hearing from these players. Not last year's vanilla gung-ho message, but a more measured "we have some work to do and we've been putting in the work to be ready."

Go Tigers!

Agree. Very encouraging interviews. Seems like we have real competition at the position this year. If this group can stay healthy it should be our best WR group in 3-4 years. Love that we have 2 Freshman pushing for playing time. They should make everyone better as well.

WRU

I can define WRU. It means catching every ball that comes near you like NUK. Being dependable like Hunter Renfrow. That's the main thing.

Secondarily, it means being explosive like Sammy Watkins.

I hope these guys have a clear understanding of what it takes of them for Clemson to be WRU.... again.

True. But that's secondary. Gotta catch da ball first. That's the main thing. Too many dropped balls last year. And not enough separation. Yep, getting separation is a top priority.
