So Uga must have offered more than that.

The reason he flipped to UGA is because of tampering.

Tampering is the most obvious issue RN across the country.

I'm sure there are dozens of stories, some we know from our own players, regarding offers they have received to leave their current team.

It's unacceptable, but until the NCAA grows a pair, the y won't stop. Programs like UGA with endless funding will continue to break the rules and suffer no consequences.

How is it tampering. He wasn’t enrolled at FSU, just a recruit. It is only tampering if a player is enrolled at another school and contacted.

I'm sure it goes on. I have no idea who specifically is guilty of it. I know its common here to toss around accusations about UGA, although no one ever produces any evidence. A person could just as easily accuse Dabo and Clemson of cheating, w/o any evidence. I just wonder why guys like Mack Brown, who have complained publicly about tampering and are in the position to have evidence, have refused to name names. If it's happening, coaches in the know should report it or they are complicit.

If UGA is willing to pay this kid 3 million I don't think

it's a bridge too far to assume they are playing the tampering game too.

Guys like Mack and Dabo aren't like Dave Doorknob or Brian Kelly so that answers your question. Complicit? Disagree. The ownership belongs to the NCAA first and second, the program leadership following the rules. Some are playing by the rules and others are not. UGA is recruiting at a level that might as well be considered pro-ready. Even you have to admit the playing field isn't level and tampering is a part of it.

I can get on board with this , also I agree NIL shouldn’t be an option for freshman , and I believe if you get all this NIL money from one school then bolt your JR year for a better deal then the school you are goin to or the player should have to pay their NIL money back to the previous school , unless they graduate from the first school

Certainly won’t be UGA… their athletes would have to pay for 6-7 years of tuition just to end up not even getting a degree. UGA wouldn’t be able to field a team if big buck NIL athletes had to pay for school.

In 2019 the revenues for college football were 18.9 billion, greater than the 15.7 billion in the NFL

There is plenty of money to Pay the 85 scholarship athletes who play football, particularly the 20 to 30 players on each team who really make the difference.

Right now the football players are seeing this $18.9 billion gets stolen by the universities who sequester it for administrative salaries, facilities, and coaches. The woke NCAA is going to further try to steal this money by dividing it up under the guise of Title IX to all of the other division one female scholarship athletes.

College football players must endure a violent, high-pressure game under the bright lights with millions of people watching in person or television. There is no comparison to the female soccer, field hockey, gymnastics, etc. athletes who essentially can be normal college students, undergo a couple of practices, and play their respective sports in front of a few friends and family.

Get real. These kids are not entitled to that money. BTW I'm pretty sure that's gross. What's the real numbers after their scholarships are paid for, travel, meals, nutrition and etc., etc.

Well considering Derion Kendrick makes $980k, Trayvon Mullen makes $1.08mil, guys playing in the NFL, pretty sure $3mil is absurd for a guy to never play a down in college. This crap has to be fixed.

I don't care if I won the lottery, I wouldn't donate NIL money to buy a player to keep this feeding this fiasco. I might donate to help keep a player but I would never do it to chase a bidding war. Move on kid if that is the game you wanna play. I wouldn't feed anything that would result in a FSU re-run.
