Clowney dilusional..............

Just saw an interview with Jadaveon Clowney and he's talking abiut winning the Heisman next year. What a maroon! If Manti T'eo didn't win it this clown doesn't have a prayer. Must've been hit in the head during practice or he's just as dumb as he looks!

He probably says that, but he really doesn't care. He's the consensus #1 pick. I'd be surprised if he fell to 3rd overall...the team who took him would have the same regret the Texans did for not taking Julius Peppers.
He'll be the richest rookie in football after next year. Heisman is just talk.

Me either. But he's the kind of guy who can take Oakland Raiders defense and turn it into a formidable unit in a matter of a year with a little bit of help.
He'll have a Julius Peppers/Von Miller type of impact immediatley.

The defensive players who have won it like Charles Woodson touched the ball quite a bit on special teams.

Sorry to be so blunt, but no question he's absolutely in the Heisman talk next year. Take off the orange glasses and look at the world head on. Yep, it hurts, but that's reality for the moment. I don't care for him and he's said they'll never lose to us while he's there, but he is the real deal on the field.

He came in ahead of Boyd in the Heisman voting, Manti is gone and I guarantee that he has the greatest shot of winning it as a Defensive player since Woodson. He is a straight up beast of a player. The NFL scouts said they would have taken him straight out of high school

Dec 19, 2012, 1:05 PM

Clowney led the nation in total sacks, and tied with solo sacks, to a guy who played at least one more game than him, probably two.
Clowney finished behind Jarvis Jones in tackles for loss by 1, and Jones played an extra game, once again possibly 2.
Boyd was first in "points responsible for" and 4th in passing efficiency.
I'll level with you and call it a draw, even though our bias towards our team will tell us our player did better.

I know he plays for the enemy, we know he should have been in prep school or Junior College, but let's no overlook what this young man does on the field.
Does anyone remember how the USuC defense looked with out him during the Wofford game? They're a little above average(maybe even average) at best without him.

he finishes sixth. He sat an entire game and played hurt throughout most the others.
Heisman is all about having your biggest games on the national stage. Johnny Manzeil proved that again this year (although I have no problem with his winning).
Clowney's opportunities next year will come against UGA and UF and, to a lesser degree, a pretty good matchup with UNC to open the season.
...and to the OP, since you and the rest regularly call Clowney a #######, it's spelled dElusional.

It's easy for us Clemson fans to hate him because of how good he is. He should be in the running next year. He is by far the best defensive player in the country. We could have went 12-0 this year if we had him.

I don't think he'll win the Heisman...in my opinion the only reason Manti Te'o was in the talk is because he was on an undefeated Notre Dame team. That's not to say he wasn't a fantastic player, but the only reason Woodson was able to get the Heisman was because he played offense, defense, and special teams--and was a standout in every phase.
In my opinion, Clowney is a better defender than Te'o. I think Clowney is a once-in-a-generation player who will be an instant impact wherever he lands (hopefully New England). He has the talent to be the best defensive end of all time in my opinion. He's that good.

"If Manti T'eo didn't win it this clown doesn't have a prayer"
Manti T'eo Heisman bid was the product of the ND hype machine and a couple of timely interceptions in Nationally televised games. He wasn't in the top 50 in tackles or Top 100 in TFL a category that's dominated by linebackers. I could easily argue, that just based upon numbers, Jarvis Jones was a better defensive player and deserved more Heisman votes than T'eo.

I'm amazed at the range of opinions on this board. I can understand why Clemson fans might not like Clowney but to make up stupid names like "moron" to call him is just silly. Where is the intelligent thought behind that? Just makes the poster of such drivel look desperate. The man is a great football player and we are fortunate to have him instead of having to face him in orange every year. Yeah, I will be hoping that LSU kicks your butt, but will not be too sad if the other Carolina team wins.

You waited 2+ months to post that? By the way, the word 'moron' has been in use for probably hundreds of years; nobody made that up here. Kudos for use of the word 'drivel', however. There's a word you don't see in use everyday.
P.S. 'the other Carolina' team is you historically. Remember that. It'll take a lot of success to change that, especially around these parts of the internet. The majority of humanity will also assume you are from southern California.

Glad to have made you feel better. Doesn't take much, does it? Wonder what your response would have been if I had said something negative about your alter egos. USC was an educational institution for 79 years before the people in Southern California decided to learn to read. Same goes for Pickens county.
