One heck of a milestone. Young ladies are growing up. Just found a way, just like with the cawks.
If Tennessee is 1, we should be top 5. Ghesh, the bias. I was expecting a team like Oklahoma. How bout McCubbin. Happy for her. She'll grow from this.

Yep, we took that game away from the Vol ladies and leaving them without another at bat and absolutely no chance to win without another at Bat. Our Lady Tigers left them on the field with their eyes wide and their jaw hanging open and knowing they were just beat in the bottom of the 9th without another chance at bat, there isn't a worse way to lose a game in baseball or softball with outs to spare and winning the game!!!

We could certainly use her pitching, but she would have to learn situational ball. Had an easy play on the bunt 10 feet to home plate. Her catcher even screamed at her. She just had to pick it up and underhand to her catcher.
In addition, they must get a lot of called balls in sec play, because their hitters questioned the pitch straight over the plate knee high. I definitely agree we're better than our ranking, but it's clear that the sec bias is overwhelming. Cawks at #10 with a losing conference record is ridiculous. Tennessee is not the number one team.

You should watch again. Calling that an easy play is laughable. It wasn't a bunt and in no way did Pickens have time to underhand anything. They wouldn't got Minish at the plate. Tennessee probably wins if Pickens just held the ball. She basically shut down Clemson's hitting.
That error changed the game and Johnson was out by 20 feet if their catcher catches the ball.
Really fortunate to win that game with our errors and baserunning.
There is no one on our staff at Pickens' level.

Tennessee has taken 2 out of 3 from both Texas and Oklahoma in the last few weeks. They may be #4 in their conference, but they took down what was the #1 and 2 teams in back-to-back weeks. Who else should be in the top spot? TA&M got run ruled by Missouri the past weekend. Tennessee deserved to be there as well as anyone else. They were playing great ball as of late. Clemson's pitching had just enough to keep them close and the errors helped but Clemson made a few themselves. The season started out shaky but as one of the announcers in the early games stated. It was going to take about 25 games for them to start playing as a team. Since starting 3-6 they are 36-6. with wins over UGA, USuC, and now Tennessee. They finish the regular season this weekend and a sweep will finish at least 3rd place and possibly 2nd. Clemson has 3 more conference games whereas VT has 6 and FSU has 9. they are only 2 games behind Vt with FSU and VT play each other next weekend.

Distinctly remember many posters on here in March saying "it was a good run" (referring to our roster now compared to the startup and last 3 seasons.) Or saying how this coach needed more talent and that it showed that he isn't as great as we'd been led to believe without his former players.
I hope those people don't forget that noise when they see these girls on this tear because we might be one of the best teams in the country right now.
Thanks to a bunch of younger players doing work , coming into their own... and some great coaching. Seems like the oldboy might be good at this softball thing after all.

are playing like seasoned veterans. Was great to see Brockenbrough make the last 2 outs against her former team. With the recruiting class coming in next year the future is bright.

Since you seem to be new to college sports, let me help. Fans react to what they see. At the beginning of the year, we were not good. We had no history on our coach to know if sustaining a program was his strength or just the initial building process so we questioned the situation. We are all impressed and happy with the turnaround.

I remember a poster saying earlier that day if our baseball team didn't put up a lot of runs early against UGA that they would come back and crush our baseball team, how did that workout in that game. We have fans with all of our sports that just never have any faith in our sports teams with them always believing we're just not good enough to win against other tough competitors!!! We may not always have the best team, but we are always capable of beating the best team or teams!!!
